Be crowned BOTS Champion of ANZ!

We are excited to be running our flagship BOSS of the SOC (BOTS) to ANZ

What is BOTS?

BOTS is a blue-team, jeopardy-style, capture-the-flag-esque (CTF) activity where participants leverage Splunk Security to answer a variety of questions about the type of real-world incidents that security analysts face regularly. During this ANZ wide competition you will practice your security skills and compete against peers for prizes and bragging rights. Players will be given a series of questions of varying type and difficulty and points are awarded for both accuracy and speed. Competitors will gain a stronger and more realistic understanding of their strengths regarding incident investigations. In addition, the results will highlight areas for training and education.

• Enroll in the BOTS portal here, you can create your team or join an existing one. A Splunk account is required to register for BOTS .
  If you don’t already have one, you’ll be prompted to create a free account during the login process

The Scenario
BOTS10 encompasses all the things that our customers have come to expect and love. This year we’re introducing seven new scenarios for customers to delve into. We are featuring Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security, and Splunk Attack Analyzer. As has become tradition, we’ll also have our famous Easter Egg questions where anything and everything goes.

Racing the clock and other contestants, you’ll answer a series of questions, Jeopardy-style — both speed and accuracy earn you points. Use Splunk Enterprise and premium Splunk products to practice your security and troubleshooting skills and see how you’d handle a real-world incident investigation like this one.

Who knows? You might even earn some bragging rights.

Any players who participated at .conf25 or any other BOTS10 competition will not be able to place within the top 3- We’re more than happy to have you participate and enjoy yourself, but we want to make it a fun time for everyone playing.

Additional Information

• There's always something, isn’t there? In addition to registering on this website, you will also be required to register on the BOTS portal ahead of the event. No game-day registration is allowed
• After registering for BOTS on this site, you will receive a confirmation email inviting you to enroll in the BOTS event. It is vital you do this in order to be able to access the scenario and play
• To register, you will need a Splunk account. If you do not have one, the login process will prompt you to create one
• Once enrolled on the ANZ BOTS page, you can create your team, or join an existing team
