Marcela Denniston is a globally recognized cybersecurity leader with more than 22 years of experience across the U.S. government, international public‑sector initiatives, enterprise security, and high‑growth startups.
Marcela began her career in the U.S. Navy supporting cyber operations for the National Security Agency, later advising governments around the world on building national‑level cyber defense programs. She has held executive roles at ShieldX Networks, Salesforce, Visa and Foresite Cybersecurity, and was named one of Cybersecurity Ventures’ “Top 150 Women Fighting Cybercrime.”
She also co‑founded Cyber Lantern, a start-up focused on accessible security for underserved organizations—and is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and representation in cybersecurity. Marcela is a frequent TEDx and industry speaker known for making complex cyber threats understandable and actionable for every audience.
